As many of you will know, Wem Town Hall hosts a vibrant Thursday market, offering everything from fresh bread, eggs, and cheese to locally handmade gifts, pet supplies, DIY essentials, clothing, and more.
To make it easier for residents in the parish to enjoy all that the market has to offer, we are keen to work with North Salop Community Bus to reinstate the Thursday minibus service into Wem.
Here’s how it would work:
- The minibus picks you up from your door,
- Drops you off in town so you can shop, enjoy a coffee, and catch up with friends,
- Then returns to collect you — with your shopping — and takes you home again.
All we need to make this happen are more passengers to sign up for the weekly service and a few volunteer drivers to help operate the route.
