On February 9th, a litter pick took place in Northwood, making significant progress in cleaning up the area. A big thank you to all who participated in this important community effort.
Tons of rubbish were collected, and special thanks to Councillor Julia Goode for providing sausage butties, which offered welcome sustenance during the event.
In addition to the litter pick, the group also cleaned the white gates and replanted the plant boxes, improving the area’s appearance.
Many thanks to Jenny for the delicious cupcakes—they were greatly appreciated by all.
Ros and Mack encountered a large amount of litter between their house and the pub, which led them to return home for their garden trolley. Among the items collected were two deep fat fryers, a hedge trimmer, two large mirrors, saucepans, a kettle, knives, and more. This rubbish has now been packed into a car and will be taken to the tip.
Many thanks again to all those involved, and we look forward to continuing the work in Northwood!
