Parish Councillor attends training in Hidden Crimes
Cllr Julia Goode has taken part in four webinar sessions regarding Hidden Crimes.
These had been organised by the Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Topics covered were; Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, Radicalisation, Domestic Violence and Abuse and Coercive Control.
Cllr Goode had a degree of experience in most of the topics as a result of her work in the field of Criminal Defence.
Living in the lovely environment of North Shropshire does not protect us from the dark side of life and Cllr Goode commented “I feel it is very important to be aware of what is going on in the wider community.”
Cllr Goode was joined by her fellow Councillor and Chair of Wem Rural Parish Council Cllr Huw Edwards
