Help Prevent Food Waste

Wem Store Cupboard volunteers collect left over food from supermarkets, which is still good to eat but would otherwise go to waste.
It is shared with partner groups across the town and on the foodshare table in The Fruitful Deli. From time to time a larger foodshare event is run where a wider range of food will be available our next foodshare is 20.2.23.
Who can come to a foodshare?
Everyone is welcome! We need everyone’s help to get this good food eaten and stop it from going to waste.
What type of food is there?
We never know what we’re going to get but there will be fruit, veg, February we will also have tinned food and some store cupboard essentials.
Do you have to pay?
The foodshares are run on a pay as you feel basis, with an optional donation of a penny up. No worries if you don’t donate – you’re helping by stopping food going to waste and getting the food eaten.
